Shopify Pakistan: What You Actually Pay Per Month in 2026

Shopify Pakistan pricing looks simple on the pricing page and gets confusing once you add the parts that apply to Pakistani sellers: dollar billing, no Shopify Payments and an extra 2% fee on card orders. This guide adds it up in rupees so you can see what a store really costs per month before you spend anything.

The short answer: a Basic store costs about Rs 11,115 a month on monthly billing, or Rs 8,265 a month if you pay for a year upfront. Shopify’s extra fee only hits card and wallet orders that go through a gateway. Cash on delivery orders carry no Shopify transaction fee. All rupee figures here use an illustrative rate of Rs 285 to the dollar, so adjust them to the day’s rate.

Is Shopify available in Pakistan?

Yes. You can open and run a Shopify Pakistan store, and it works as a normal store platform. The catch is payments. Shopify Payments, Shopify’s built-in card processor, is not available to merchants based in Pakistan. PayPal and Stripe are not available to Pakistani businesses either, so you connect a third-party gateway for card and wallet payments and use Shopify’s manual payment methods for cash on delivery.

That one fact is what changes your monthly cost, so the rest of this guide is built around it.

Shopify Pakistan plan prices in rupees

Shopify bills its plans in US dollars. These are the current US prices, shown with illustrative rupee amounts:

Plan Monthly billing Rs per month Annual billing (per month) Rs per month Paid upfront
Basic $39 Rs 11,115 $29 Rs 8,265 $348 (Rs 99,180)
Grow $105 Rs 29,925 $79 Rs 22,515 $948 (Rs 270,180)
Advanced $399 Rs 113,715 $299 Rs 85,215 $3,588 (Rs 1,022,580)

There is also a $5 a month Starter plan, which is meant for selling without a full online storefront. Check Shopify’s pricing page for current plans and any introductory offers before you sign up.

Two Pakistan-specific points matter here:

  • Annual billing saves 25%, but it is one big payment. Rs 99,180 for Basic on the day you sign up is a real cash-flow decision for a new seller.
  • You are exposed to the exchange rate. Your bill is in dollars, so a weaker rupee raises your monthly cost without any change from Shopify. Your bank may also have its own rules for international card payments, so confirm that your card works for subscriptions before you start.

Shopify Pakistan transaction fees: the 2% that depends on how customers pay

Because Shopify Payments is not available in Pakistan, Shopify charges an extra transaction fee on every order paid through a third-party gateway:

Plan Third-party gateway fee
Basic 2%
Grow 1%
Advanced 0.6%

This fee sits on top of whatever your gateway charges. Ask each gateway for its current rate in writing, because those vary and are not included in the numbers below. If you are choosing a gateway, see our payment gateway guide.

The part most Pakistani sellers miss: Shopify’s manual payment methods, such as cash on delivery and bank transfer, carry no third-party transaction fee. A store that sells mostly on COD pays almost nothing extra to Shopify beyond the plan.

Here is what that looks like for a store doing Rs 500,000 a month on the Basic plan, with 80% COD and 20% card orders:

Item Amount
COD sales (Rs 400,000) No Shopify transaction fee
Card sales (Rs 100,000) at 2% Rs 2,000
Basic plan, monthly billing Rs 11,115
Shopify’s share of the bill Rs 13,115
Gateway’s own fee on the card sales Extra, ask your gateway

When upgrading to Grow actually pays off

Grow costs Rs 18,810 more per month than Basic on monthly billing, and it cuts the third-party fee from 2% to 1%. That means you save 1% of your card sales. The two plans break even at about Rs 1.88 million in card sales per month, or about Rs 1.43 million if you pay annually.

Monthly card sales Basic total Grow total Cheaper plan
Rs 1,000,000 Rs 31,115 Rs 39,925 Basic by Rs 8,810
Rs 2,000,000 Rs 51,115 Rs 49,925 Grow by Rs 1,190
Rs 3,000,000 Rs 71,115 Rs 59,925 Grow by Rs 11,190

Totals are the plan fee plus Shopify’s third-party fee on monthly billing, before gateway fees. Grow also adds more staff accounts and reporting, so you may upgrade earlier for those reasons. But if you sell mostly on COD, the 2% fee rarely touches you, and you are unlikely to need Grow for cost reasons alone.

Other Shopify Pakistan costs that are easy to forget

  • Domain. Your store gets a Shopify address by default, but most sellers want their own. A .pk domain costs Rs 4,200 for the first two-year term at PKNIC’s price for registrants in Pakistan, and registrars add their own margin. See our domain registration guide.
  • Apps. Many stores run on free apps. Paid apps for subscriptions, reviews or advanced marketing add up quickly, so add them one at a time and cancel what you do not use.
  • Theme. Free themes are enough to start. A paid theme is a one-time cost, so only buy one if the free options do not fit your catalog.
  • Courier and returns. Shopify does not charge you for these, but they hit your margin. COD returns can cost more than any fee on this page.
  • Tax. Withholding tax on online sales is separate from anything Shopify charges. Our NTN guide for online sellers explains how filer status changes the rate.

Shopify Pakistan vs a marketplace: the cost view

On a marketplace like Daraz you pay commission and fees per sale instead of a monthly plan, and you get ready-made traffic. On your own Shopify store you pay a fixed monthly cost and generate your own traffic. Our Daraz commission rate guide shows what the marketplace route really deducts, so you can compare it with the numbers above.
